Learn more about the colleges and universities participating in CUET.
The Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 is a standardized test used to assess eligibility for undergraduate and graduate admissions at Central and state Universities across India. All Central Universities and other participating colleges in India will recognize the CUET scores in 2024.
For quite some time, there has been a discussion about easing the burdensome responsibilities of central institutions by reducing their high cutoffs. The implementation of the Common Entrance Test (CET) as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) lays the groundwork for comprehensive educational reform. This innovative approach has the potential to revolutionize India's higher education system.
Central Universities of India, such as the University of Delhi (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), are among the institutions participating in CUET. It may come as a surprise to the public that a Common Entrance Test has already been developed for the 13 newly established Central Universities spanning various states. For the first time, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer CUET online instead of the traditional offline mode. In 2024, the CUET test is expected to be conducted once a year.
